Hi, I bought this 98 accord v6 few years back, and i just found out that it was running without the evap purge control solenoid. The 2 pin connector is empty, nothing connect to it, so the previous owner must bypass it somehow, it was running fine, lately i find that the car sometime feels like the engine doesnt get enough gas, i have to floor the gas pedal few times before it idle normally, and smell gas sometime. My question is can i install that evap connector cable, if i buy one, what do i have to do in order to install it, or just run without it.
Thanks for your help
Alex

if you have been running for this long it shouldn't hurt it, but you would need a new evap canniste solenoid as you sya you have hte connector. But check your fuel pressure it may be low.

Is the engine light on? It should be with a missing purge valve. I would want to check the computer for trouble codes. I would also recommend checking the timing belt to see if it's off
