I know that. I replaced the brake interlock switch thinking it had gone bad. That lasted a few days. I replaced the fuse with a higher amp just to get home and it blew it too. Is there somesort of diagnotic that can be performed to get an idea where the short may be?

Since the fuse is only blowing after some time, it is an intermittent fault and this is not going to be easy to diagnose.
It most probably is a bare wire somewhere that is intermittently coming into contact with body ground to blow the fuse.
Check wireharness for damages and signs of peeled or damaged wires.
