manual transmission won't shift out of 1st gear

4X4 4.3 v6 5 speed manual...truck will NOT shift out of 1st gear running or not, not on hill, or binding

you will have to see if the shift linkage is bound up or if the shifter itself is worn out. the linkage is in the trans so you might have a pro lookat this.
