I have a 1998 gmc jimmy 4 wheel drive,with auto climate control.is there any kind of stop leak that could seal the leak?i heard bars was a good stop leak,but im not sure what to use,or if I should replace the compresser.i used dye a found the leak at the bottom of the compresser.when I add freon it gets cold but leaks out fast.also im not sure about the auto climent conteol,as far as what they should be set on when adding freon.

First of all, bars leak is for cooling systems, not air conditioners.

Any type of sealer in the AC system will contaminate the entire system and any shop's equipment that is attached to it. It will gum up the whole system beyond repair. You need to replace the leaking component with all related services required when the system is opened.
