1998 Gmc C3500 This Dump Truck Two Gas Tanks 1 2 Tank Will Run Out Gas Does

This dump truck has two gas tanks, but at 1/2 tank it will run out of gas. Does the rear tank have a pump or is there a transfer pump some were?? Thank you!!!!!

each tank has a pump.

the one that stops working may have a hose failure in the tank. have it checked

some times when i turn the key on you can hear a rattle sound noise for one sec. then it stops! Is there a chance that it has a frame pump to?

should not be. the pump will run for seconds key on engine off.

the pump will start up when cranking and running

Sorry for all this, But i dont know!!! The rattel noise is different then the huming noise from the one fuel pump you always here when i turn the key on!!

ok, lets do this. start with a fuel pressure test on both tanks to see what kind of pressure is coming. you can rent one from a parts store with instructions
