1998 ford windstar stuck in 1st gear. check transmission fluid smells good looks good(red) need to find speed sensor please help thanks v6 3.0L cargo USPS van. base model no a/c or stereo

sounds like your van is in "limp in" mode. defective vehicle speed sensor might possibly be the problem but need more info.does the speedometer work? have you checked for trouble codes?

It is sounds like the input shaft speed sensor is not working here is the location so you can change it out. They call it a turbine shaft speed sensor. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
