Stuck in low gear. Four wheel drive problem PO705 and PO708

Assuming it is an automatic, we need as much info as possible, it is a trans issue.

When was the last time it was serviced? Any recent repairs? Any issues with snow related?

A relative moved out of the country and gave it to us to use until he returned. Dont know much. It is and automatic. Have replaced a couple of sensors and switch but that did not solve problem. Got Doc Md and it said PO705 and 708.

I replaced 2 relays going to 4 wheel drive under hood and one switch that takes it from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive to 4 low inside on dashborard.

Ok, they have nothing to do with it.

The codes have to do with the trans range sensor on the side of the trans.

Unfortunately, you need a scan tool to monitor its activity. Make sure all connections and the harness is good. You can try a sensor but expense guess without confirming.

Told my husband and he said he knows where all that is --harness and connections. He will attempt to make sure that is all good then if not we will take it to get scanned. Thank you for your advice. Helps alot. God Bless.
