Clutch engages just of the floor and theirs a lot of slack in the pedal.

According to our reference the clutch is self-adjusting. It says to pump the pedal 5 times to adjust.
I have seen on some Fords that if you pull up on the pedal, it will adjust pedal height and free play.

This is a normal hydraulic clutch that is not adjustable. You likely have a leak in either the master or slave cylinders, causing the system to take in air. Find your leak, repair it and bleed the system out and you should get your pedal back, assuming the clutch or pressure plate are not broken.
