PLEASE HELP< NEED TO FIX MOMS TRUCK

Was problem there before repairs? what engine? has fuel pressure been checked?

The problem began with misfiring, loping no power. Yes the problems were there before fixing these items. No we have not checked fuel pressure yet. 6 cylinder 4.0, how do you check fuel pressure? what kind of gauge? not sure about the codes, been down for a few weeks and haven't had time to work on it, can't get it to the store to be checked, won't stay running.

It seems to be missing really bad. We did replace the fuel relays.

What are codes? You attach a fuel pressure gage to the schrader valve on the fuel rail, to check fuel pressure. The schrader valve usually looks like a tire valve, should have a cap on it. Make sure what you find in on the fuel rail. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure, just make sure it will work with your year--make--model. You may have to put up a deposit for the gage, but, get the deposit back, when you return the gage.

The autostore also sells an obd2 code reader. Just make sure it will work with the vehicle in question. What about the fuel filter, that is part of a tune-up? Don't take any fuel lines loose without being sure there is no pressure on the system.
