back firing?

My car when it first starts off, it feels like it's back firing but as it warms up it does it less and less, it's not really a popping sound but a slight clunking.

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free. If there is no light, check fuel pump pressure. Also, check to make sure there are no vacuum leaks at the engine.
