dashboard got dimmer and the power got weaker?

My truck just stop working.the dashboard got dimmer and the power got weaker. when i pulled over i tried to restart the truck all i heard wad a clicking sound. could that be the alternator?

I say battery or alternator. Depending when you replaced the battery last, I would suggest starting with a new one and checking the voltage at it, or at the alternator while it is running. Watch out for moving parts please. You should have about 14 volts. Anything less indicated alternator (assuming you have a known good battery)
