1998 Ford E-Series Van window crank cable broken

The cable for the window crank has broken. I have taken the plastic door panel off and there is no way to open the door up anymore. I can't figure out how to replace the wire. Do I need a new cable or does more need to be replaced? I wanted to take the window out to get a better look but have not figured out how to do that yet either. I know it should be fairly simple but I'm stuck. It is not an electric Window . The picture provided is looking down into the door. The broken cable is in my fingers.

the picture didn't come through.we dont' have any pics of that but the regulator and cable probably come as an assembly. it's anywhere from $37-58 through rock auto. if you go to rock auto .com there are instruction s on how to remove/install it you can print that out. see pic
