Is there a fuse for the overdrive to work?

The OD light is flashing on and off
also the spiddomitor is bouncing
around. If you can help tht would
be great, thanks.

It sounds like a bad speed sensor. If the light is flashing, have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. It will identify where the problem is coming from.
