master cylinder

i have a 98 crown vic police package. is there a difference in the master cylinder for that and a regular master cylinder?? i was told the traction control but i dont use that anyways so couldnt i use a regular master cylinder??

maybe it's a fitting size difference? the parts store price is just couple dollars different? but special order. do they make a rebuild kit?

they say its just the traction control. and its almost 2 times the cost for a PI master cylinder over a regular MC
