Have a 1998 ford crown Vic with 76000 miles. All of a sudden this morning my clutch was having trouble engaging. Only when I gas it does it engage from a dead stop. From first to second it stutters a little then from there it's fine. Transmission has been out twice. Once for fixing what the dealership "forgot" to put in the trans, some sort of bushing, and one to fix that problem. Haven't had a chance yet to check fluids. It's also about 10-20 degrees outside. Would the cold be a factor?

You do not have a clutch system (like a manual car) you have a torque converter that acts a s a fluid clutch, so you are experiencing drive problems? If so do a scan for any unresolved fault codes and do check fluid level as well, let me know what you find.
