thanks Jacobandnickolas My ford cougar 2.5 v6 is getting 4mpg whats wrong with it just got a new MOT help iv been looking at it all day and i cant find any leeks and the light is not on do u think i should unplug the battery and start fresh or should i get a new fuel regulator or do u think its compensating for something all this started when i picked up my car from mot and had the brakes all dun

That is really poor mileage. You can try to reset the computer to see if that helps. Other than that, a tune up could help, check to make sure the catalytic converter isn't plugged, check fuel pressure...
