i have an early 98 contour svt and im doing an engine swap with a 99, but after changing the wire harness for the engine, engine compartment , instrument cluster , and pcm . I go to start the car, my instruments light up and my security light goes solid , but nothing . The car wont start. i ran a ground to one side of my starter relay , and can get it to crank , but it just seems like pcm is not letting the ignition fire or something of that nature . ive checked all the wires over and again . checked clutch switch, but i just dont know .

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ? CAR HAS BEEN DOWN FOR TWO WEEKS AND BOTH CARS RAN BEFORE SWAP

probably because there is aadifference between teh 99 harness nd 98 harness. try resetting your security system. they dont' match all the time between years.
