How do I replace a side mounted tail light assembly on a 98 Contour?

I have ordered a replacement tail light assembly ( passengers side, quarter mounted) and need to figure out how to replace it

The tail light is attached in the trunk. Open the trunk, and remove the carpet behind the lights.
