1998 Ford Contour 98 Recently Been Spewing Transmission Fluid Out Top Dipstick

Have a 98 ford contour and recently it has been spewing transmission fluid out from the top of the dipstick. The amount that comes out is about a qt or mare at a time. It usually happens after you stop and shut motor off. Its a v6 automatic. Why is this happening?

there is a vent on the top of the trans that may be clogged not allowing the system to breathe. have it checked to see if it is the issue

Checked the vent and thats not the issue so what would you recomend to check next?
