my car engine shakes

my car engine shakes violently and causes the whole car to shake. it stops shaking when I take it to 2revs. it also makes a ticking/clanging noise when I accelerate. and its constantly making like a tractor noise. what is wrong ? It also makes a ticking/clanging noise when I accelerate. and its constantly making like a tractor noise. what is wrong ? its a fiat punto t regit has tape around the rubber pipe that goes from the air filter to the engine securing the two pipes together, does this have anything to do with it ?

it sounds like you have something with the valve train that has failed. you need to remove the valve cover and examine for anything broken
