I have a 1998 Dodge Stratus, and can no longer open the trunk with a key. The driver side release lever still opens the trunk, but you can not open the trunk with a key. I have taken the latch out, and all parts seem operational except for the cylinder. You can still insert the key, but the cylinder will not turn.

For what it is worth, the panic latch located inside the trunk still works.

Sound's like the cylinder is frozen up have you tried a spare key?

Also, you might be using the valet key. There are at least six different keys available that open different combinations of doors, trunk, and glove box, plus the ignition switch.
