I have a vacuum problem, the a/c doesn't work right, will the heater not work properly either?

I've had the truck for 7 months now. When you turn the a/c on to run from the vents in the dash it goes to the vents under the dash. In the mornings when it's cold, the heat is almost non existent. Is it the vacuum issue causing the heat problem or is the heat a seperate issue?

If all the vent are working correctly as selected, it would not be a vacuum problem but seems they are not so you would need to check the vacuum lines and actuator.

The heating system uses engine coolant as heat source and upon starting, it migght take a few minutes before it really satarts to warm up as the coolant depend on engine running to heat up.

How long does it take before the heater sends out heat?
Have you checked the coolant level?
Do you have overheating or coolant losses issues?

A missing or stuck open thermostat would cause heating issues.
