what are the two canisters in the fuel line located underneath the truck just behind the passenger door, and could they be why my truck isn't getting fuel

Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn key to run-? If so What you need to do here is check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester to rule the fuel filter and fuel pump-You don't hear it-check and fuel pump fuse, fuel pump relay and fuel pump
