The truck will only speed up to 20 mph and it makes a loud reving noise, tackameter only hits 2, when letting go off gas pedal it drops but only to 20 mph, all gears work

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned. It sounds like you are in limp mode which is usually a transmission issue. It's a way to get you where you are going for repairs.
