When i bought this car, i put the clutch in and it was making a rubbing sound, the sound got progressively worse over a month. a few days ago i was driving and my clutch started screeching and my car barely goes into gear. the clutch, which was originally semi-hard to the touch now feels like im putting my foot in a bowl of pudding. and there is a silver grease covering my transmission. I also found a few ball-bearings lying on top of my transmission as well. So i guess my question is, 1. is it the throw out bearing, 2, how do i replace it?

youi'll probably need a whole new clutch when a throw out bearing goes it takes the pressure plate with it.
