HI HOPE YOU CAN HELP! I HAVE A 1998 DODGE NEON 4 DOOR. I'VE HAD MY CAR FOR TEN YEARS. ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO THE FRONT PART OF THE CAR STARTED LIKE SHAKING OR HOOPING? I WAS TOLD IT WAS MY FRONT STRUTS. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I CHANGED MY (FRONT STRUTS NOT SPRINGS, TIRES RIMS FROM 18' BACK TO ITS 14' RIMS, ALL WHEEL ALINEMENT, AND TIE RODS) BUT IT STILL HAS ITS SHAKE OR HOOP AND IT DOES IT WHEN I'M GOING ABOUT 30 TO 50 MILES PER HR. AND WHILE I DRIVE STRAIGHT AND WHEN THE ROAD STARTS TO CURVE RIGHT OR LEFT THE SHAKING, HOOPING STOPS. OR IF DRIVE OVER 50 MILES PER HR. ALSO STOPS. WHAT CAN IT BE

Definitely not struts. I'd be looking at the inner cv joints, especially if it is worse when accelerating. The housings get worn spots that cause the rollers to bind. Those rollers have to move back and forth once per wheel revolution to allow the shaft to change length and angle. When the rollers bind, the shaft pushes on the spindle which is mounted on rubber bushings. That movement is transferred to the steering linkage and the steering wheel.
