The freeze plugs are right on the side of the block.You have to remove the old freeze plug.You have to drain the coolant You can drill a Hole in the freeze plug and use a slide hammer with a screw to remove the freeze plug.They have a tool to hammer the new freeze plug in or you can get a rubber expanding freeze plug.
