Van won't start

When I turn the key on my van, sometimes it would "hit the spot" and start, but it would take a few tries. Now it doesn't do anything. Is that the ignition switch?

My vote is on starter but checking at starter solenoid see if power is there when key in start will decide ignition

Thanks so much for your response. There is power. The lights come on and the radio - it just doesn't catch to start - makes no "contact"
