I have a 98 dodge caravan and had my trans replaced and now my key pad doesn't work for unlocking and locking its a kill switch i have to press everytime before i start the car(inconvenience)

when they did the trans and had the battery cable off, it wiped out the program for the remote. it has to be re programmed

most likely the dealer. unless a shop has a tech 2 scan tool. call around for anyone who can perform this for you
