hello,

I have. have a question about a 3.4 l chevrolet trans sport (venture) year 1998 can this be the timing chain is broken or defective. the van will not start more after he had a rattle, front right, and went out.
the cylinder heads can be damaged or is this motor a "free run"?

this is a free run, scan for codes and check fuelpressure first. the rattle could be a belt tensioner anything have a pro look at it.
