1998 Chevrolet Tracker Speedometer Working Took Loose Cable Turning This 2

Speedometer not working . I took it loose. The cable is turning. This is the 2 door Tracker with automatic transmission. I am told that the speed sensor is located in the speedometer head and it could be the problem. Any help appreciated.
