Just dropped my truck off at my garage. I trust them but want some advice. I have reason to believe 5.8L motor has catastrophic failure. I think it either needs to be replaced or rebuilt (if possible). Generally speaking, is it cheaper to rebuild and will it be just as reliable?

It depends on the type of damages/condition. If you intend to keep it for a long time-get it replaced
