How many miles or km's before the timing chain has to be replaced?
The engine is a 350 cu inch running on gas, with about 120,000 miles (175,000 km) on it now.

You have a timing chain. Honestly, it will last a long time. When it starts to go bad, you may hear a ratteling from that area. Other than that, you should get over 200K out of it.

There is rally no timeline for this. When they go bad is really when they shold be changed or when they make excessive noise like slapping. You should be good for a while yet if you aren't haveing any trouble.

IT IS INTENDED TO LAST AS LONG AS THE ENGINE AND NO REPLACEMENT NEEDED OR SET TO BE DONE BY MILEAGE
