My engine just started making a squealing noise. I just had the intake gasket replaced, new spark plugs and distributor, cap, and button. Changed oil. I was running fine until out of the blue it starts sqealing. Removed the serpentine belt to narrow the problem down and the noise still exsist. I am stumped, can anyone help me?

STICK A 2-3 FOOT PIECE OF HEATER/ GARDEN HOSE IN YOUR EAR

STICK THE OTHER END IN THERE CLOSE TO THE THROTTLE BODY

IF THAT'S WHERE IT'S ORIGINATING, I'M BETTING IT'S THE THROTTLE BODY GASKET DOIN' THE KAZOO THING.

TRY CLEANING BOTH SIDES OF THE THROTTLE PLATE W/ THROTTLE BODY CLEANER, IF NO POSITIVE RESULTS, REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

(THAT IS IF IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S FROM THERE)

YOU CAN ALWAYS KEEP SEARCHING WITH THE HOSE

THE MEDIC

It sounds like a bad bearing and coming from the front of the engine. I was hoping it was a pulley, but thats not the case. I wiil check the throttle body, it wouldnt hurt.

I also used a top end gasket kit, so the throttle body has a new one. I would like to add also that the oil pressure was perfect.
