tranny worked to pull truck off..and back up now nothing??

1998 s10 with a 2.2 with auto tranny...replaced engine pulled truck off lift and let idle for 10 mins and now the tranny wont pull?? help

Check fluid level and condition. Make sure linkage was properly reattached.

Put 2 quarts after it warmed up...linkage wasnt messed with at all....idle changes when put into gear like its going to pull...but it doesnt

Could be a bad torque converter or valve body. Or it could be a bad front pump. Or bad clutches and bands.

I'll ask someone with a little more transmission experience to peek in.
