I just installed a new head on this 2.2 s10 chevy. The old head was cracked. I torqued the head and rockers to spec. Engine has a hard time starting, runs really rough. Made sure that the engine was tdc. I did a compression check and the #2 cylinder has low compression and I added some oil through the 0lug hole and compression went up and back Down again. The truck had a hard time starting befor I removed the old head and now it runs worse with the new head. Any idea?

Are you sure the valves are not over tightened and causing a compression loss?

Hmm. Typically if your compression goes up on a wet test then the piston rings on that cylinder are worn out or blown through.
