1998 Chevrolet Lumina Car Been Making Clicking Noise Sometimes Start Starts

My car has been making a clicking noise sometimes when I go to start it, sometimes it starts and this time it didn't. I noticed the other times it did this and started that the clock was reset to 12.. I has a newer starter?? Please help
