vibration on pickup

enter your question...when I'm driving, and it kicks in highest gear, whichis around 50mph,theres a major vibration, as soon as I let off the gas, the vibration stops,also when I get up to about 70mph it stops

Have you checked things such as U-joints, tire balance... Also, does it feel like an engine miss, the trans is slipping... You didn't list the year or if it is 4wd which limits my ability to determine if there could be other things.

this is a 1998 chevrolet, cheyenne 4x4 6cyl I did check the U-joints, tires , engine sounds fine, trans seems to be shifting OK
