Cold Air Intake and Mass Airflow Sensor

I'm interested in buying a Cold Air Intake for my 4.3l V6 C1500. Will I have to buy a new Mass Airflow Sensor or will the stock one work?

bad idea. keep the oem equipment as it will work best.
the original will work with the cold air intake.

When you say leave it, do you mean just the MAF Sensor? or leave the intake out as well?
