1998 chevy c-1500 4.3 ltr hesitation while driving and runon after ignition is shutoff.

The service engine soon light comes on and goes off intermitently only twice so far,the code produced at pepboys was p0104 which was the MAF sensor,so I have cleaned the MAF sensor which wasn,t very dirty to begin with.however,I still have the same issue. can someone elaborate what the issue would be?

Check the timing.

Also check if the throttle plate is fully closing-this will cause it to diesel/run-on
