There is smoke (not steam) coming from my radiator reservoir

Engin is cold this happens as soon as u start up. been having overheating problems also.

Recently replaced power steering pump. car over heated when pump went out and has been ever since.

you may be burning coolant from a blown head gasket from the overheating. have a shop do a leakdown test to confirm.
