I have a 1998 chevy cavilar it has the 2.2 engine three speed auto transmission. the transmission locked up will not move in any gear , I pulled the pan on the transmission and found pin bearings . I do not know where they came from other than the torque converter.

The transmission locked up will not move in any gear car running or not . I pulled the pan on the transmission and found needle bearings in the pan. the only place i could think of would be the torque converter. what is your thoughts on this. if it is should i go ahead and change out the transmission to?

Thanks Roger
