Is their a way of disconnecting the stick fuel gauge on a 1998 Chevy Camaro 5.7L V8. I want to try to test a fuel gauge that I have. I think the fuel sending unit is going bad. When I fill the car up and drive it back home the cars gauge will drop to 3/4 fill. The gas station is only 5 minutes away. When you shut it off and restart it it goes back up to a full tank.
