I need to figure out what kind of flares(double flare or single flare) do I need to use on the rear brake line of a 98 Chevy Camaro?

Always a double flare. Single flares won't seal. Compression fittings will get you fired. When you perform the last step, don't crush it real tight. Just form it enough to be a double flare, then let it conform to the fitting when you bolt it tight.

One more choice you may find is a "bubble flare". That would be easily recognized.
