Joe,

Thanks for responding. I removed the air cleaner and upper fan shroud to gain better access to the control valve. Once there, I could see/feel the valve actuator which appeared to be operating normally with the temp selector control.

I then opted to flush the heater core. Didn't see any amount of sludge, but did find some air in the system when removing the hoses. My coolant levels are fine (both in the tank and radiator), so not sure how it got in there. Regardless, the flush seems to have done the trick.

Hi, the van has an a/c problem, maybe it needs to be replace or repaired, and now the heater only blows cold air. Is the heater core out, I check the fuses and the heater turns on and blows air but its cold. Is this a heater cord problem or what?
Please advise.

Bill

I'd suspect the thermostat is stuck open. Replace it and it should be fine.

The blower motor is under the dash on the passanger side. You need to remove the lower section of the dash and the blower motor cover. Check to see if it is getting power. IF it is, replace the motor. If there is no power, work backwards to see where it is lost. Chances are if it goes on and off, the relay is bad. However, if it continues to work on high, the resister is the most likely problem.
