1998 Cadillac STS Engine Idling high

Replaced the starter on my 98 sts and now the engine is idling high, it was not doing that until after installing new starter...please help...I don't want to give the car up only had it for about 5 month love the Car, 3rd cadilla I have owned

it probably has a vacuum leak you might have damaged intake manifold gaskets check there
