1998 DeVille low refrigerant light comes on, ac shut down even though refrigerant is not low.

Brought it to the shop, they serviced it, drove it, message came back on, changed low press. Switch, drove it, came back on, checked for leaks, no leaks, pressure still holding. Message still exists.

System needs to diagnosed using a scan tool was that done? If yes what was DTC code? If no need to have that done. Message not totaly reliable diagnosis

OK, I do not have the diagnostic equip. You mention, what would cause this problem other than low freon or low pressure cutout switch? All fittings are dye checked.

I also jumped the low pressure switch and system works fine, will replace switch again, maybe bad out of stock.

If jumpered and works light out then agree switch maybe faulty. Good Luck
