Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me, I know nothing about cars for the most part. The check engine light is not on. Car starts up perfectly runs fine and shifts perfectly for about 10- 15 mins then at any speed the car almost seems to bog down and trying to accelerate makes a sort of whining sound and the car just slows down and stops but doesn't die. Neither drive nor reverse will work at this point. Weird thing is, I can start it right back up and be fine right away sometimes, or after awhile other times. Just had someone follow me back to my house and I made it almost all the way back and it did it on the highway, pulled over and he towed me home. Then as soon as I got home it seemed to be fine again. (When this is occuring the idle sounds weird, and makes a whining sound). Just seems weird to me how it can run perfectly sometimes, it's pretty much undriveable because of this. Thanks

Try to locate whining. See if it's alternator?
