If it is compeletey flooded, you can pull the plugs out turn the engine oever, clean the plugs and start it like a carbureted car by pressing ht gas pedal to the floor. Then let it off not to do damage to the engine.

The fuel injection system does a fuel prime for one revolution when you start it. If you are trying to start a flooded GM 3800 FI engine, don't turn off the ignition after each starting attempt. Because it will give you that fuel squirt. Leave the key at IGN/RUN position after each turn-over attempt.

Thanks for jumping in with this info. However, take a look at the attached document. It talks about how to start an engine that has been flooded.

This method is called a clear flood start and is designed for when the engine is flooded.

Basically the PCM will not pulse the injectors when you are holding the accelerator open.

Thanks again and let us know if there is anything else we can help with in the future. Thanks
