1998 323ic - battery went dead - jumped by AAA - everything working fine except the security system - remote will not open doors or reset alarm - LED on console on all the time - what's the solution? MikeD

As a side note, I strongly recommend against jump starting modern BMW automobiles due to the possibility of damage to the electronics. AAA almost always has the best intentions, and I am not trying to position blame. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
